I agree with you that this idea Palin and her campaign managers had to put her on SNL was just stupid. It is sad that she and her campaign take running for office so lightly. There were a lot of upset Republicans after this appearance. Many of the traditionally conservative newspapers that had previously endorsed Bush are now endorsing Obama, and it is because of McCain's choice of Sarah Palin. Many of those newspapers (I believe there is something like 40 newspapers that endorsed Obama when they previously endorsed Bush) are citing this SNL appearance as one reason they could never vote for the Republican team - and I completely agree. I think it would have been smart for the campaign to just let SNL have their fun with her mistakes but not to have joined in.

Check out this article for the list of all the newspaper endorsements thus far:

I heard about it, but that was my first time seeing it. Good for her for stepping up and making light of her critics. Gives me a little more respect for her.

wasn't advocating Palin. Wasn't saying that her being on the show was a good thing.

I don't advocate her.

just thought it was a comical side of all the political-bashing going on :)

There is no way she was going to do the rap. And Amy Phoeler wouldn't have memorized it.
She never actually did anything, Obama's apperance was clever, and McCain HOSTED I'm not impressed.
