I strongly truly 100% support McCain for president. what would you say to me?.. i love McCain because he is older so he must know more about being a precedent. he comes from war and if you have experienced war then you would not ever want to have war again! he has a full loving family. and he has convinced me to vote for him.
Now tell me if I am wrong or right. McCain or Obama? why or why not
(p.s. personally just to let you know, i am rooting for Obama, i just want to hear the reactions of those who ether agree or disagree.)

I have to say that the choice of governor palin as running mate is a big one for me, but you also have to look into the fact that McCain largley misrepresents himself, he plays himself off as a small town man, not a rich man, not an eliteist. But he comes from a family with connections that got him higher in life, as well as alot of money, he owns 17 cars and 5 houses. He uses his POW record as a way to get out of these questions.
Ultimatley I dont trust him
As for Sarah Palin, she all together has more experince than Barack Obama. Yes Alaska is small, but she still governed a state.
I believe McCain did choose Palin to get more votes, but she is qulified.
As for oil, if the governor of Alaska supports drilling there, why not? We need the oil and it would make gas prices decrease by so much. Oil is something this country greatly needs, it would help our economy greatly.
First of all, drilling in alsaka would not make a huge impact, even if
we drill all our possible oil reserves, we only would have 3% of the
world's oil. we use 30% of the world supply of oil therefore, we cannot
drill out of this problem. As far a Palin's experience, when you say a
whole state, you mean one of the least populace states in america, it
has a population of 670,053, to put that in perspective, the population
of chicago is 2,836,658. Palin has only governed it for 20 months, and has already
been in trouble with corruption. She is an untested leader as far as
running the most powerful country in the world is concerned
We are not fighting a "war on terrorism" as a tactic or strategy. We are fighting a war against Islamic Terrorism, a very specific brand with very specific goals.
For the young people here, Savannah is a hyper partisan Bush hater, her words are hardly more than personal opinion.
this website is for stating personal opinions
As far as I see it, there really is no choice here- the answer is Obama. Normally I would not be so polarized, as I try and weigh opposing viewpoints equally as a Political Science Major, however; this is one occasion where there really is no contest.
Under the reign of George W. Bush, we have fought a senseless war, costing trillions of dollars, lasting longer than WWII, that has killed our friends and family members, all in the name of what? "The fight on terrorism?" Please. Terrorism is not something you can fight, there will always be people that defy and rebel- it's human nature. Just yesterday 7 soldiers died in a helicopter crash that wasn't involved in combat- what a tragic loss of life? These young men and women are barely 20 years old, and are dying under the orders of a big oil good ol' boy. Why talk about Bush at the end of his term? Because John McCain is frightening akin.
John McCain has said that he would stay in Afghanistan and Iraq for 100 years if that's what it took.
Why!? This is a war supported by a mere 20% of the nation (mind you, I'm talking about the premise of the war, not those who are fighting, I'm confident many of us support the troops) and has accomplished very little (the only bone I'll throw Bush's way is the removal and execution of Saddam Hussein). How could John McCain think that we should continue fighting? It's no surprise that Sarah (I'm refusing to lose her last name) supports the war- the caribou killing frontierswoman is from oil and rifle country- why wouldn't she support the violence? She is a fool who doesn't know what the Bush Doctrine is, and who (with the exception of her measly couple of years as governor (of only 683,000- total population of Alaska- that's less than greater Seattle area) only has real experience leading the 8,000 people of Wasilla! 8,000 people!? That's about the size of this years incoming freshman class at the UW. Call me old fashioned, but I don't see how that prepares one for the White House.
The national deficit is the greatest its been in decades- we are most certainly in a recession, the economy is crumbling before our eyes and while the federal government announced today that they're going to bail out many of the financial firms, there is still an incredible amount to be done. If a republican like McCain gets into office, the rich will continue to get richer, and the poor will continue to get poorer. Senator Obama will cut middle class taxes and increase those for annual incomes over 2 million dollars. This action will be step in the right direction.
Most importantly, as young people, this is our chance to make a difference, to stand up for what we believe in and tell the government that we won't accept the status quo. What we want is change. What we want is universal health care, a firm stance on the environment and our troops out of Iraq. Much damage as been done in the last 8 years, and electing Obama is our only chance of refuting the negativity and showing the world that we've learned! The global opinion of the United States has declined an incredible amount and I can tell you from my travels, those of coworkers and friends, that if we do not make the right choice, electing ye who stands for Change, Senator Obama- then the world, the environment, and each one of us will suffer greatly.
Please take this into consideration when you're in the voting booth, or discussing the election with your parents and friends. The time for change is now.
Well for me its Sarah Palin.
His choice for a running mate is appalling to me. She is simply not cut out to be president should the President Die (McCain is ancient).
20 months as gov in Alska of all places hardly qualifies as serious political cred. The only problems Alaska has is too much money and nothing to spend it on. She clearly has no experiance taking on such a massive and dynamic population full of problems.
Most of all it shows McCain is just playing to demographics and is trying to rope a few stray votes from women, not to mention playing the"moral values card", because the hard core conservatives HATE him.
btw experiancing war (or any acts of violence)makes people more violence prone, more likely to take up guns..etc not less. Look up PTSD and numerous studies done in children in urban neighborhoods.
hey, tare1991 why do you think that people voting for Obama hate McCain? what reasons make you say this? why even have them compete what does one have that the other one doesn't...??
I guess Obama kids hates him.
To keep it short here are my top 4 reasons
1. Environment (At this point we need to be more forceful and make people change. A republican won’t do that)
2. Education ( A Democrat is willing to tax more for better public school funding)
3. World opinion ( Others around the world seem to really identify with Mr. Obama and it will hopefully make relationships stronger)
4. Democrat ( No matter how much money they “take” from me, I don’t think I’ll ever be able to vote for a Republican. Not until the Grand Ol’ Party learns to follow the construction and separate church and state)
