How would you take action?
We've talked about a lot of different issues within the education system this Summer. We've discovered some problems through research and statistics, and other problems through our personal experiences in public schools.
Thinking about this, I want to know how you think we can improve the education system - because if we just talk about problems and not solutions, we won't get anywhere. Please answer the following questions:
1. Do these problems upset/frustrate you, or have you just accepted them?
2. Do you feel like you have an ability to improve the situation?
If yes, how?
If no, who do you think does have this ability?
3. If you could do improve just two things at your school, what would they be?
4. Do you see yourself ever being part of another project like Students FEAR? (be honest)
Can you think of another way of taking action?

1. These problem does frustrate me because if i needed help at school i don't get the help i needed.
2. Yes The way i can improve it is get people that will listen to the problem and give me the help i needed.
3. The two thing i would improve at school is the teachers and the counsler at school.
4. No
1. For me it hasnt been much of a problem because so far my schools have been well balanced and equal. but when i hear about other people's struggles it does piss me off. Especially after seeing "Waiting for superman" seeing how bad some of the little kids schools were, even though they put some much effort into trying to learn.
2. In a way i do feel like i do but then i also don't. The reason for that is because im one person and in order to be heard you have to have connection and i dont know many people and im not the type that can go out and find a random person without someone introducing me to them. but if there was a group (like studentsfear) then i feel like i can make some difference.
3. i would improve some teachers, because some cant teach very well. the other thing i would improve is conselors talking to more about college, they talk to us but not very much when your a freshmen.
4. honestly probably not because i only do these when someone offers me the chance. i dont go out looking for them. and there could be a club at a school or something
I've just accepted them. There's nothing I can really do about it now because I'm a junior. Only two more years until I'm a junior. I'm doing Running Start so the school system isn't going to affect me anymore and I don't have to deal with it.
2. Yes, I feel like I have an ability to improve the situation because everyone is capable in doing something. It's up to them if they're passionate about it and have determination.
3. If I could improve just two things at my school, it would definitely be the teachers and counselors.
4. Yes, I can see myself being part of another project like Students FEAR.
1. The problems with the education system have both furstrated me and upset me, but sometimes I just want to accept it because I don't know how I can make a change.
2. I feel like I can have the ability to improve the situation but then sometimes I don't think I can. I don't think I can make an improvement on my own but if a bunch of students who want to make a change get together, i think that then we can change the school system.
3. I would improve my school on there teacher choice because there are many bad teachers and they don't improve or affect the students future. Although I had a great counselors other didn't so I think we also need an improvement on our counselors.
4. Yes I think I will do another project like "student Fear, " at either my school or outside of school.
The problem does frustrate me because The truth of education is that it can easily be fixed. Knowing the research on child development and on good teaching and learning practices is essential. The components of good decision making about education reform can be put in place and can make a difference for every student and some teacher are not really helping.
yes the teachers act on the belief that all students can learn. They treat students equitably, recognizing the individual differences that distinguish one student from another and taking account of these differences in their practice. They adjust their practice based on observation and knowledge of their students' interests, abilities, skills, knowledge, family circumstances and peer relationships.
The two things i could improve would be the teachers and the counslers at school
No !

i found that most of the problem that we talked about usually fustrates me during school because i usually cant get the help that i need. i think that i can improve the situation by bringing the problem to attention and making sure that the school board and other people involved with the school know about it. if i could improve 2 things at my school it would be the class sizes and the problem with the teachers not doing enough to help students pass. i dont think i would take part in another group like FEAR unless it was offered to me .
