Here's what you're here for, just couldn't helping including some PSO P.R.

Alright ladies and gentleman, we find ourselves at the finalshowdown- the last public debate between those combating to lead our countryfor the next four years.  It is thethird and final presidential debate.

Tonight’s topics: Domestic Issues; Economy

Both candidates have been talking a lot about the economy,so I think we all have a fair idea of where they stand.

I’m looking forsomething new from one of them…

Here they come, cordial greeting.  They’re seated for this one.  Interesting, Bob starts off by asking them to say somethingthat American’s haven’t heard. Glad we’re on the same page, we’ll see if they answer the question…

Why McCain’s plan is better (he starts off by giving hiscondolences to Nancy Regan.  Nicemove Johnny boy)… he says that the people are angry- obviously sir.  He blames Fannie Mae and Freddie Mack, says that we need to stop the housing fallout.  Wants to use 300 billion of the economic bailout plan tohelp homeowners get out debt. Although this does nothing for people with a stable home, who couldstill be financial hurting.

Obama compares this to the Great Depression, calls out CEO’sfor enriching themselves in a time of struggle.  Says he’s got a package to bail out the middle class, wantsto battle outsourcing and redistribute jobs in America.  He wants to help people now.  Says that McCain’s plan could justbenefit banks who would get bailed out at rates significantly cheaper thantheir real value.

McCain starts talking about some man named JoeWurtsilleberger a “plumber”… in some random state, who didn’t like Obama’s taxincreases on small business income (again John, we all know less than 5% ofbusiness’ make more than 250,000. Obama is quick to re-iterate what we’ve already heard, and what I juststated.  I wish we weren’t wastingprecious debate minutes on old news!

John McCain is asking why Obama would like tax anyone inAmerica, over and over and over- and Obama reminds him again that he’s notraising taxes for 95% of the population.

The Ohio voters and indifferent.

Things are getting a little spicy, McCains groaning andmoving around in his chair, trying to jab Obama… maybe the article I read onCNN today was right, maybe Obama is Mohamed Ali the great boxer, playing therope a dope, wearing out elderly McCain and just waiting for the chance for theknockout punch… let’s hope so.

When discussing the flaws of their economic plans, neitherof them answer the questions besides Bob’s plight.  McCain says he’s going to create millions of jobs, and goesoff on a tyraid about why we need nuclear power, why our debt is so vast andhow bad that is (he says he knows how to save billions on defense… despite hissupport for the war in Iraq.)  He’sreally going now, the planetarium, the pork barrel policies, I’m just waitingfor a ‘Maverick”.

Obama says earmarks are ½ of 1% of the federal budget, sohow could they be the huge deall that McCain makes them out to be?  He hits hard with the comparison ofJohn and Bush- talking about the vast deficit and McCain’s support of hisbudget.  McCain says Obama voted totax those who make over 42,000 – the Barack comes back saying that everyone hasdisputed the claim, including Fox News! Bam! He fights back…

Bob asks the candidates to say what their campaigns aresaying about the opposition to their face!  McCain goes first saying that he defends Obama, and thatObama doesn’t defend him.  Saysthey’re running a truthful campaign- even though Fox news is disagreeing withthem.  Going deeper, he says thatObama initially intended to take public funding, and by turning it down now haslead the most expensive campaign ever. Obama is the first man ever to not accept the funding, his support ishistoric!  McCain later tries touse this against him, essentially saying that he’s spending way too much on hiscampaign- no matter the stance, one must admit he’s been quite effective.

Obama points out that a CNN poll just said that 2/3 ofAmerican’s think McCain is running a negative campaign compared to 1/3regarding Obama.

They still haven’t said what their ads say- to each other’sfaces… interesting… very interesting.

Obama discusses the cynicism of the American people, sayingthat what they need right now is for issues to be addressed, not negativecampaigning, or people yelling about killing Obama and his ‘terrorist ties’ atMcCain rallies.  McCain thencounters by defending the people that attend… okay McCain.

Obama clears the water with Ayers, and ACORN, basicallydisconnecting himself from both. He lists buddies of his that the associates with, Biden, Buffett, theusual suspects.

The topic of running mates is posed:

Why would the country be better off with your running mateversus the others?

Obama talks about Biden’s foreign policy experience, he’snever forgotten where he came from, he fights for the little guy- economicallyhelping working families, ladmark 1994 crime bill, violence against women bill-“Biden shares my core values, we both agree we have to prioritize, do what’sbest for the American people, get serious about energy independence.  He doesn’t address Palin.

McCain says America’s gotten to know Sarah Palin, saysbasically she’s a Maverick (although he didn’t learn the term, perhaps he’scaught wind of the cyber mockery of their favorite campaign slogan.  He says he’s proud of her(fatherly?  Weird?  Acceptable?  Let me know your thoughts).  And he says she’d fight for special needs.

Obama doesn’t miss a beat and says that to fund theseprograms we need more gov. spending. He says that Palin’s plans won’t work in the current economic system, says she’s a great politician, but that she’s unrealistic in her goals.

Question to McCain: Do you think Biden is qualified?

McCain: Good guy but No- he’s been wrong in certain foreignpolicy decisions, voting against the Persian Gulf war etc…  and of course brings it back to themsame flawed tax talking point we’ve been hearing over and over again.

?How much will you reduce America’s dependence on Foreignoil?

It’s one of Obama’s top priorities.  He lets us know we need energyindependence, and that we can’t drill our way out of the problem.  Resources need to be allocated to wind, geothermal, green, and other alternative energy sources on top of anenvironmentally friendly car manufactured in the United States.  He let’s us know.

McCain says and I quote “I admire your eloquence, but youreally have to pay attention to his words” regarding Obama.  That in itself is Negative campaigning…implying Obama’s a liar.  Ihonestly tune him out for the next 45 seconds after this remark.

Obama counters and the uncommitted Ohio voters love it.

McCain senses the kill is near and goes after Obama and histerrorist ties!  Again morenegative campaigning… and of course taxes come up again.

I can’t even go into the back and forth between the twoabout health care.  McCain’s planis just so flawed, it doesn’t address the problem.  Obama calls big corporate employers to insure their staff, and wants to offer everyone the same health care available to thegovernment.  Makes sense, as aren’twe all equal?

OOO abortion is on the docket!

McCain doesn’t answer whether or not he’d nominate a supremecourt judge that was pro-life, he says he”d only vote for someone who wasqualified.  He says that he doesn’tvote on ideology, he votes on qualifications…. What about agreeing withBush?  The selection of SarahPalin?

Obama says that Abortion is a moral issue, that can bedisagreed upon.  He says that womenare in the best position to make the decision regarding abortion and theirbodies.  I agree with his supportof Roe v. Wade.

McCain goes off on this kick about us needing to change theculture of this country, that we need to console women in these traumatictimes, and then make them have the baby (not in so many words).

Obama says that he’s in favor of a ban of late termabortions, with exceptions (essentially whenever the mother’s life is indanger).  He says that we need totell our kids that sex is sacred, and that if an accident happens, we support awoman’s right to chose.

McCain again discusses the eloquence of Obama, saying thathe’s stretching the ‘health’ excuse for late term abortion.  The room scoffs, I scoff, and Obama hasto look away and take a sip of water. McCain really is ridiculous. He includes some educational policies of his that support more teachers, especially in matt and science.  Hetalks about his proposal for $4000 for every student every year in exchange forcommunity service.

McCain says that there’s no doubt that we reached equalopportunity for schools.  He saysthat charter schools are the answer. He says we need to make student loans available- but isn’t that the sameunsupported credit that got us in this pickle in the first place?  He’s vague here.  Just saying we need help isn’t enough,we need to hear you solutions!!

Obama wants to raise teacher’s salaries, he thinks charterschools are good as well, says that competition is good for the educationsystem.  In reference to makingcollege more affordable, one of McCain’s advisors told Obama that they can’tjust give money to every interest group. Interest group!?  Everyoneheading to college is no interest group, it s a thriving portion of the USpopulous!.  Obama quickly says thatAmerica’s youth is not an interest group- thank god.

McCain again talks about Autism, that clearly was anothertalking point tonight.  Saysthey’ll find the cure… with what money spending freeze boy!?  I’m all about helping special needschildren, it’s hypocrites I have a problem with.

Final Statements:

McCain

Calls discussion healthy.  Times are difficult. Blah blah blah.  At least hedoesn’t mention main street.  Sayswe can’t keep doing what we did the last 8 years, says he’s a reformer… whovoted with Bush 90% of the time. Right..  Says American cantrust him with their tax dollars, asks them to look at his records andproposal.  Says he’s in a family ofpublic service.  He’d be honoredand humble to lead this nation.

Obama-

Washington has neglected key issues for decades.  Says he would provide findamentalchange.  Health care for all, business growth out of alternative energy sources, jobs etc.  Says we must come to together andrenevew spirit of sacrafice and service and responsibility.  Says he’ll work tirelessly everyday.  Not his most charismatic, butI hope McCain made enough of a fool out of himself to keep Obama’s pollsrising.  All in all, mediocre performance by the usually charismatic Obama, he's still my boy though.

“Go vote now, it will make you feel big and strong”- Bob’sclosing statement on the debate.  Avery sweet touch to a saucy debate.

The Real Hero Tonight:

Joe the Plumber

And the camera on McCain during Obama’s remarks- his gruntsand pouting face were minus points.

Spread the word, Speak your mind, Walk lightly in Love andin Peace.
