Beijing and the Olympic Games

August 5, 2008 - 10:48am by Langsta

Currently in Beijing the government has been very strict about the comings and goings of people in China. The defenses have been beefed up completely with things like ground to air missiles around the play areas. It has been interesting to see people say that the government is just using the Olympics to enforce upon the civilians and that when the Games are over the defenses are going to stay up and the control upon the public will stay the same. It will be interesting to seehow this all pans out as the Olympic games. Oh and by the way!! USA Basketball FTW!

Yep yep, China it is.Maybe the government is just trying to prove it's worthiness to the world. You know, with all the new constructions in Beijing, like the Bird's Nest, ooh ooh.
Oh, The U.S.A. Basketball team is going to bring the gold home. Kobe, Lebron, Wade?!!

I agree with Langston that it will be very interesting to see what happens after the games are over.

apparently according to the chinese goverment there are hella terrorists who would like to sabotage the games; keep in mind china has long been called 'the sick man of asia' and they are 'mad' about it , so this is their time to prove otherwise.Dont qoute me on this but the chinese have an acute case of inferiority complex.
