With Russia taking over provinces in Georgia (Abkhazia, and South Ossetia), be ready for a draft in the next 2-5 years. Ukraine is begging for installment into NATO which means that if if they are attacked by Russia, and are apart of the alliance we will be fighting a third war.

Russia has a history of taking over land for many purposes. Mostly, they fight and take over land in order to secure their borders, and have a buffer against Europe and the West. In this day and age, with Russia once again on the rise, and dangerous it is very important to deal with them carefully.

The balance of power is already failing with the rise of China, but if Russia decides to add more land in other parts of Asia, and other places nearby, the balance will be completely out of wack, and self interests will be conflicting. The US will most likely follow NATO into protecting the provinces around Russia from Russian control and if this happens we will possibly see a third world war. Just like in the early 1900's when Britain was worried about Russian take over in India and East Europe, so will America be worried about their objectives in Iraq, Iran, Pakistan and the Middle East.

Be ready for ride in international politics that will be unprecedented and will most likely decide the fate of the international balance of power.
