If you are going to college, are you going to a community college or a 4-year university/college? What are advantages and disadvantages of each option and what factors impacted your decision?

I can't be in a rural area, whatever I end up choosing has got to be surrounded by stuff, in a place like stanford, everything is the school, there's no way to escape it without driving a long ways.

Personally, I went the CC route to save some extra money and buy some time to figure out what I truly wanted to do. It was the right route for me.

I'm not yet back in school, but when I do ((hopefully winter quarter) I'll be going to Shorline community or Bellvue community. It's so much cheaper to start at a community college then transfer and you go in as a junior in College when you get to the four year. And you can get all your pre recs out of the way.

I'm attending a community college for my last semester in high school. I am then going to a four-year university.

For me, the persuasion was the environment. I currently live in a little town with nothing to do. So, naturally lots of people get involved in the wrong things. I want to go to a university in a big city so I can surround myself with who and what I want to be surrounded by and so I can get better experience for my two majors-journalism and theater. Its hard to get good experience in those categories in a small town community college.

There are different advantages and disadvantages to both. Community college can save you money, but do you want to stay at home? Etc. It's best to think about what your personal preferance is and run with it.
